Cork Textiles Network at the MTU Cork School of Music Exhibition of My Copper & Wool Tapestry

My first exhibition! I was ecstatic to have been asked to exhibit my copper tapestry work with Cork Textiles Network at the MTU Cork School of Music by the Pause Committee from Wednesday 30th November 2022 – Tuesday 10th January 2023.

I love wool on cotton frame loom tapestry but incorporating that with copper weaving…the dream.

My copper and wool tapestry is titled, “An Ash of Bodies.”

It’s a group show. I’ve one piece in it. A copper and wool woven tapestry. I do not know how an artist could do a solo show…woah! But I’d more than welcome a solo when the opportunity arises. Making art is the easy part…getting the right frame, gallery guidelines, thinking of how to show it…my god! I learnt so much and look forward to more.

I postponed my Crawford art course…my intuition just said give yourself time. So, hopefully next year I’ll be better set up to do the course. But how bad, like! I still got into a gallery exhibition as a visual poet…there’s always a way…
