Need a good MG (middle grade) book to read for yourself or your kids?

I loved Emma Carroll’s debut so I could not wait to dig into her second book.  I was

delighted to get it from Faber & Faber as the cover is gorgeous, the blurb was exciting, print was large (great for kids and quick readers!), it smelt fab, and it’s about the Victorian  circus! (Oh yeah!)

Yeah, the smell of a new book matters.

And that’s where I’m gonna leave it because I am saving this book to read on my holidays!! Cannot wait!
