Roll up! I’d like to welcome you to the December session of the Carnival for Children’s Literature 2013.
There are some might fine topics to be shared with you, but before that, I would like to thanks the organiser, Anastasia Suen, and the participants.
As there are a lot of categories, I decided to post them all separately. First up we have Early Literacy followed by: Fiction, illustration, interviews, non-fiction, and poetry.
Early Literacy
Catherine from Story Snug writes about Peck, Peck, Peck.
This colourful, rhyming picture book by Lucy Cousins (author of Maisy) is really original and gives lots of scope for discussion about colour.
Pete and Gabby are two fun loving bears that are entertaining to young readers. Our K-2 classes have really enjoyed this story of two bears.
Jen from Jen Robinson’s Book Page wrote about the highlights a fun milestone on my three year old daughter’s path to literacy.
Reshama from Stacking Books wrote about Mr. Rabbit and the Lovely Present.
This is a wonderful story for read aloud to the little ones. The repetitive nature of the task and the soothing conversation between the main characters.
