I popped along to Kilkenny on Sunday expecting the usual ‘arts’ festival, one or two things going on, no information to be found and no crowd. But my how wrong I was.

Kilkenny Arts festival had signs all over the town with details of what event was taking place within. They even had two vacant shops taken over as information stops. The castle was buzzing with atmosphere and the National Crafts Gallery was jam packed with art.

A personal highlight for me was seeing Una Burk’s designs in the National Crafts Gallery.

I loved it so much that I am going back there again tomorrow.

It is on until the 18th August 2013 and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
