Summary

Early Readers are stepping stones from picture books to reading books. A blue Early Reader is perfect for sharing and reading together. A red Early Reader is the next step on your reading journey.

Horrid Henry is far too busy to bother with his stupid, boring spelling homework. He’ll just have to come up with a spectacularly brilliant plan instead.

My Review

Reasons to love this book:

The teachers name is Miss Battle-Axe.

Perfect Peter always does his homework.

Henry spends two hours not doing his homework.

Poor Henry can’t seem to link his lack of learning dedication to his new predicament. He cheats and is caught but rather than being scolded he is ‘rewarded’ with a new spelling list of more words.

It would be cool to read this book and have a class discussion on the merits of homework!

Many thanks to Orion Press for the ARC..
