Amazon, please hurry up and send me Brenna Yovanoffs’ books. I need to read The Replacement and The Space Between, like…now!
I am a huge fan of this author having only read her blog. She writes about being home-schooled, her family, writing, books, her BWFF (best writer friends forever) Tessa Gratton, and Maggie Stiefvater.
I found her rather randomly on YouTube. I was thralling for author interviews while doing research and I found her!
There she was with long brown hair, pale skin, huge eyes, soft and sweet voice. After a two seconds I judged her, I placed a bet with myself that her story would be all hugs and rainbows. After all, she spoke with a wispy doll-like voice, had long fair hair and was wearing neutral tones.
Boy did I lose that bet. In her lullabye voice, she whispered one of the most terrifying tales of a young boy who had been abducted by an evil fairy and a replacement left in his place, in his crib – all while his sister watched on. The story is told from the POV of the replacement.
I hate scary stories but I cannot help but read them. It’s like my way of controlling their gripping fear; me in a cosy house surrounded by family, reading a story that is so scary it makes me scamper to the TV room just to read-on but with company around me.
Have a click-it of above mentioned Youtube clip.
I ordered her books on Amazon as my local book shops didn’t have them in stock.
Her latest book Paper Valentine is pictured on the right, the cover is beautiful. I’m not sure when it’s on release in Ireland but you can be guaranteed that I will be there to grab it.
Amazon, please hurry up!
Isn't she wonderful!
