4 AM in Las Vegas – Baby!

Michelle Jackson launched her latest book, 4am in Las Vegas, at Hughes and Hughes on Tuesday 09.10.11 and I was there to report for writing.ie and you fabulous people.


Michelle Jackson is the bestselling author of Two Days in Biarritz and Three Nights in New York. She attended the National College of Art and Design, was a sock designer in the 1980s, and taught art at secondary school level. Michelle lives in Howth, Co Dublin with her husband and two children. When Michelle took to microphone to welcome us all, her daughter went to join her, by sitting down at the display of Michelle’s books and smiled happily as her mother talked.



Aidan Cooney of Ireland AM TV3 was the first to grab the attention of the crowds and welcome us all to the launch of 4 AM in Vegas by Michelle Jackson in  Hughes & Hughes, which was no mean feat – considering the huge numbers.

Michelle thanked her publishers, Poolbeg, all of her all old school friends and past pupils who were in attendance. She thanked everyone who helped her in the whole process and she was grateful to her fans.  We got an interesting insight in 4 AM in Las Vegas when Michelle told us that it was after a research trip to Las Vegas specifically for a book that, ” by the time I got home I couldn’t wait to write the book, It was the most amazing time ever.”
This is the first time that Michelle Jackson has ever dedicated a book to anyone, 4 AM in Las Vegas is dedicated to her grandmother, “I blame her for ………..READ THE REST HERE.
